FAQ
Do you do cover-ups?
Generally, no, I do not take on cover-ups. As my work is light in nature, it usually does not work to cover up older tattoos, as you often need a new tattoo to be darker than the original in order to disguise it. I am open to covering tattoos that are small or have received sessions of laser removal, if I feel I could do a good enough job.
Can i use numbing cream?
I do not tattoo over numbing cream, sorry! It makes the skin incredibly hard to work with – not to mention there are a horrifying number of fake brands available online, which can make reactions unpredictable. I’m gentle, promise! Most people compare the sensation to that of a cat scratch.
How do i look after my tattoo?
A fully informative aftercare leaflet will be given to first timers after the appointment, and aftercare reminder emails are sent to every single client. To summarise, you want to treat it like a normal wound – keep it clean, don’t touch it with dirty hands, and keep it moisturised. There are a few do’s and don’ts, these mainly concern sun exposure. We will go through everything at time of consult to ensure we’re good to go, don’t worry!
What styles do you work in?
I work in a fine-line, illustrative blackwork style – meaning I tend to lean away from bolder, darker pieces and I don’t generally work with colour (but I can be tempted for the right pieces!). I’m always happy to make recommendations for alternative artists if I don’t think I’m the best fit for your project or idea.
can i bring a plus one?
Absolutely! Mi casa su casa. I do ask you only bring one additional party with you though – my studio space is pretty small, and I only have one chair for guests. If you are having a matching tattoo, please do not bring any additional people outside of those getting tattooed. Please note I cannot allow anybody under the age of 18 into my studio, even if they are not personally getting tattooed.
where exactly are you based?
I work on Bridgnorth High Street, the end nearest Costa, inside of Lounge by Lauren Doyle on Waterloo Terrace. I have my own private room, meaning any intimate body parts or secret conversations are safe in my room with me.
